The Work Shop was established in June 2001 by two recruitment veterans who wanted to offer more personal and contemporary services to employers throughout the area. We are centrally located at 4 Pedlars Walk in Ringwood and 1 Didcot Road, Poole to serve the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. The offices are located so as to be able to comfortably service clients in Bournemouth, Poole, Ringwood, Christchurch, Lymington, Salisbury, Wareham, Dorchester and all of the towns in between.

Our aim is to provide local companies with a recruitment service second to none - combining the vibrancy of a new business, with over 20 years experience within the industry. As a truly independent recruitment consultancy, we are committed to providing an unparalleled service to our clients with both high quality permanent and temporary workers available. We also make sure all of our candidates are treated the way they should be - with respect and professionalism.

ESP Personnel is a specialist division within The Work Shop that caters for senior permanent and fixed contract employees. Staffed by very experienced recruiters, ESP can deliver bespoke packages designed to suit one off business critical senior management positions. Proven services such as Search & Selection and Headhunting, that have been extensively utilised in the cities, have been replicated in the provinces at a fraction of the cost.

The Ringwood Business Summer Ball

We are delighted to be working with Simply Events to bring you the first Ringwood Business Summer Ball. This elegant event will take place on Saturday 14th September set in a beautiful marquee within the prestigious grounds of Old Somerley, Ringwood – a perfectly preserved Victorian walled garden which is part of an historical 7,000 acre estate close to Ringwood town.

This event is for local businesses, their colleagues, staff and associates to join together and celebrate the success of business in Ringwood and the surrounding area. It will be an evening with a distinctly elegant feel, with a black tie dress code, sumptuous menu for the guests using local produce and dancing to local and highly acclaimed band "Soulstar", enjoying other entertainment and full bar facilities. This is not a charity event which means that guests can concentrate on enjoying a friendly social and business event that will attract 200 key business owners and professionals from Ringwood and the surrounding area.

AGENCY WORKERS REGULATIONS - NEW LEGISLATION

The Government have been preparing to introduce new employment legislation on 1 October  this year called AWR (Agency Worker Regulations). The basics of this legislation are to ensure that temporary staff are provided with some of the same rights as permanent members of staff. Primarily this includes pay rates, working conditions and holiday pay (although these are not all).
